The course was extremely good. It educated me on several aspects of Spanish. These aspects include: the use of verbs, describing myself family and the house, saying the time (specific and not specific), and the most important of all, to be a fluent speaker in Spanish the foreign language. I will now go into further details based on the content, methodology,task,my feelings and recommendations.
The content content based on the semester work( describing the family,the house and myself; use of verbs; telling the time; theories put forward by various scientists) was allot but useful. In this semester from the exercises and from interacting with the teacher and peers, I realise how the knowledge of learning a foreign language is important. The theories helped me to understand the atmosphere the class room should be at all times, one that encourages students to learn both emotionally and physically.
I felt really good about the use of computer application. Since it helped me to achieve one of my biggest dreams, have my own computer. However at first getting the tasks done was extremely disgusting because I hadn't a computer. Having my assignments completed on time was my biggest night mare. But after listening to you, Miss Verbena, saying "you are responsible for your own learning" I realize I had to get my own computer in order to have my assignments completed on time. I must say the proper use of computer was good, work was able to be done at any time.
The course was great. I enjoyed classes, interacting with peers and the teacher. I also enjoyed the way the new knowledge I have gained was put across. However, I feel less work should be given, most of the time is spent on assignments rather than revising. Despite the amount of work, I feel good because there is a chance of making up on the work I haven't done so well in. Also I was still successful in most/all of my assignments, despite being under the strainous circumstances. For me, I feel less work need to be given.
I really like the fact that even though the teacher wasn't present, work was still provided. The teacher always made up in her presence, for the times she was absent. Work was able to be done at any time convenient to pupils. Also, I like the fact of computer usage in class. There is not really that I dislike but I think less work need to be given.
I recommend less work. If this is done, it will provide students to be more attentive and willing to work. Since there bodies will be tired less and ready to work.
